Juried Member Show: Between Here and There
What does it mean to belong? Where do we find our place in a world of constant movement and change? The Gallery at Yellow Studio invites you to explore these profound questions through Between Here and There, a juried member exhibition featuring twenty-one women artists. On view from Saturday, November 22, through Saturday, December 20, 2025. Celebrate with us at the opening reception on Saturday, December 6, from 4 to 6pm.
In a world marked by migration, displacement, and shifting identities, belonging is no longer a destination—it’s a journey. Juried by Tina Villaveces, Founder & Director of Yellow Studio, Between Here and There brings together artists working across painting, mixed media, sculpture, photography, and digital print to examine how we forge connections in uncertain times. These works explore the spaces that welcome us and those that exclude us, the tension between standing out and fitting in, and the ways memory, culture, and creativity help us find, or make, our place in the world.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
The exhibition features work by twenty-one Yellow Studio Artist Members working across diverse media, including painting, mixed media, sculpture, photography, and digital print. Bedford Village Art Crawl at Bedford Books
The 2nd Annual Bedford Katonah Art Crawl is a celebration of local creativity, community and culture. I will have a tent in front of Bedford Books in Bedford Village with my wrapping paper, prints, greeting cards and a couple original paintings. I will be with Yellow Studio artists Elizabeth Gourlay and Rebecca Rivard who have collage kits, jewelry, sculptures, prints and paintings! The entire village will be full of artists all day. Yellow Studio Juried Member Show
On Saturday November 23, Yellow Studio will host the opening reception for our inaugural Juried Member Art Show. From painting to photography to sculpture, mixed media and beyond, please join us to view and purchase artwork by our Artist Members.
Three pieces from my latest series will be on view, Dawn, Stellar and Eternal. In this work, I explore the balance between intention and uncertainty. Using loose pigments, I begin with a plan—mapping out color relationships—then let the natural interaction of pigment and water shape the final outcome. This process mirrors the space between my activism and acceptance of the unknown. It’s a meditative practice that nurtures both reflection and hope.

44th Annual Faber Birren National Color Show
My watercolor piece will be featured in the 44th Annual Faber Birren National Color show. In 1980, Faber Birren, world renowned color consultant, author of 27 books on color, endowed the Faber Birren Color Award of $1200 for original and creative expression of color. The Faber Birren Color Award Show has grown from a regional exhibit to one of national scope, encouraging artists in all media. This competition is the only artistic event devoted exclusively to the use of color. This year the Stamford Art Association celebrates its 43rd year of the Faber Birren National Color Award Show.
